On Friday, demonstrators in Tahrir Square expressed their rejection of the candidate to take over the next government, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to succeed Adel Abdul-Mahdi.
The protesters rejected al-Kazemi by placing posters of varying sizes on the walls and tick-carts bearing his pictures, and on them were written slogans that refused to nominate him as the next prime minister.
The demonstrators accused Al-Kazemi, in one of the posters, of "his responsibility for the blood of the martyrs through his management of the most important security institution, which is the Iraqi intelligence service, and the embezzlement of the funds of the National Memory Corporation, which handed over the documents of Iraq to foreign bodies."
The demonstrators said that "Al-Kazemi controlled the resources of the border crossings by appointing corrupt employees to manage them and concluding suspicious deals, from a number of those wanted on charges of financial corruption through smuggling them from custody," in addition to that he "holds more than one nationality."
And before the protest squares announced their refusal to nominate Al-Kazemi, the hashtag "Mustafa Mustafa al-Kazemi" has toppled the Iraqi Trend on Twitter, where it exceeded thousands of tweets.
