The economist, Saleh Al-Hamash, ruled out today, Friday, the vote on the budget during the first half of this year, indicating that the deficit rate will be lower than what was due to the lack of funding for some projects, but this will harm the Iraqi economy.
Al-Hamash said, "The new Prime Minister, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, may not be able to hand over the budget to Parliament, and even if it does, it will not get a vote until the end of the first half of this year."
He added, "The percentage of the budget deficit will be less than what was declared 48 trillion dinars, especially since Iraq has a turnover in the funds allocated to the provinces in addition to the budget, the delay in its presentation."
He explained, "The decrease in the budget deficit is a negative indicator and an effect on the Iraqi market, as the natural deficit in other countries reaches 10%, but what happens in Iraq is a deficit of 27%, which is a catastrophic deficit." Finished 2
