, the Minister of Housing in the Caretaker Government, two banks, Rikani, said on Sunday that France and Japan prevented their experts from traveling to Iraq to complete the Basra water project because of the demonstrations.
Rikani said in a tweet on Twitter shared by Mawazine News: "How painful is it for some of the architects to besiege the Basra Water Project with al-Hartha with the start of demonstrations, including Japan and France, preventing experts traveling to Iraq and delaying the opening of the project on 10/24/2019, as I promised the people of Basra."
He added, "It is 95% complete, and it depends only on the installation of filters by the experts, and the project will pump 200,000 m3 of water to Basra."
