[size=18]On Sunday, the "Al-Watan First" coalition called on deputies to hold a plenary session and resolve their positions on the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, by rejecting or accepting, warning against entering into a "constitutional debate."

In a statement, Alsumaria News received a copy of it, the coalition said, "The absence of an explicit constitutional text on the cancellation of the mandate at the end of the constitutionally specified period to present the ministerial formation with the completion of the government curriculum and the formation of his government throws full responsibility to parliament by holding a plenary session or else matters will remain pending."

The coalition pointed out that "the dispersal of the positions of the political blocs and the non-resolution of the issue of voting on the government in a plenary session will enter the country in a cycle of constitutional and political controversy that will further complicate the crisis facing Iraqi society and the political class in particular."

The coalition called, "All the people's deputies to assume their constitutional responsibility by resolving their positions on the Allawi government, whether by rejecting or accepting through a plenary session, instead of engaging in an unending debate on constitutional terms and the problems arising from non-compliance with them."

On Sunday, the Parliament is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.
