On Sunday afternoon, the House of Representatives is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, as the deputy to vote on the government booth, after negotiations between Allawi and the Kurds have made clear progress .
And Kurdish media quoted sources as saying in press statements today, March 1, 2020, that "it is not clear whether Allawi's cabin will pass in the parliament session today, given the widening scope of opponents of the Prime Minister-designate," while noting that "The last minute negotiations are continuing, and it will be the decision."
For his part, head of the "Bayrak Al-Khair" bloc, Muhammad Al-Khaldi, confirmed in a press statement, followed by Digital Media NRT, that "negotiations between Allawi and the Kurds have made clear progress, and therefore it is certain to vote on the government booth, during today's parliament session."
In response to a question about the positions of the other Sunni and Kurdish blocs, Khalidi explained that "in general there has been progress in negotiations between everyone, including Shiites and Sunnis, and Shiites decided to proceed with voting for the government because they no longer have another alternative but they mortgaged their position to achieve progress in negotiations with the Kurds, which is What made Allawi ask for the postponement and enter into good negotiations with the Kurds so far. "
To that, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and former deputy, Mohsen al-Saadoun, stated that "negotiations are ongoing with Allawi, and the picture may become clear during the coming hours," noting that "the Kurds do not want to hinder the passage of the cabinet and do not insist that the nomination of ministers by them be entirely, but rather They want to take into account the privacy of the Kurds, as they are a region with its own characteristics within the Iraqi constitution "

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives failed to hold a session last Thursday and decided to postpone it to Saturday, then postponed it again to Sunday, at the request of the Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, to complete the consultations.
