    The Ministry of Agriculture revealed, on Thursday, its plan for the current year that included cultivating 16 million dunums in various regions of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , confirming the launch of a million dunums for investment in Najaf and Muthanna and its orientation towards launching vast areas for investment also during the coming years.
    "The agricultural plan for this year includes cultivating 16 million dunams, some of which are irrigated and others that obtain their water through rain and artesian wells," ministry spokesman Hamid Al-Nayef said in a statement to "Information".
    He added that "the ministry offered a million new acres to invest in the province of Najaf and Muthanna, which is a step outside the agricultural plan for the current year that included 16 million acres."
