A parliamentary source confirmed the existence of a movement within Parliament to submit a candidate from the House of Representatives to fill the position of Prime Minister for the next transitional government, because the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/717/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D8%AA%D9%84 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A9]political blocs did[/url] not agree on a candidate.
The source said: "There is a political move for more than 40 deputies to nominate the new prime minister from them without the heads of political blocs," noting: "The deputies are from different political blocs and the number is increasing."
He added: "It was agreed that the new Prime Minister will be from within Parliament, and so far there are 3 deputies nominated."
The source did not reveal the names of these deputies.
