    Yassin Iraq: Baghdad
Since the emergence of the Corona crisis and the suspension of commercial exchange between countries, a number of countries have resorted to activating local production activities to meet their needs, especially with regard to tools and medical supplies. Iraq was among these countries that did the manufacturing of respirators and artificial respirators and others.
Today, Iraq faces a serious economic crisis, amid low oil prices as well as the reduction in production imposed by the recent OPEC agreement, which prompted Iraq to think about solutions that might pay for future development.

Reducing the “benefit of the outside”
Today, Sunday, Minister of Planning Nuri al-Dulaimi said that 10% of the country's annual expenditures on import must be reduced and transferred to national production.
Al-Dulaimi said in a press statement monitored by "Yassin Iraq" that "the total value of the salaries of employees, retirees and social welfare exceeds fifty billion dollars annually, and its coverage depends on oil export revenues."
He added that "90% of the value of the salaries spent by the beneficiaries on imported goods, and 32% of them on food and beverages," noting that "this means an exit from 40 billion dollars annually from the state's spending, out of the country for import."
Al-Dulaimi added that "it is necessary to work to transfer 10% of this spending annually in favor of local production in exchange for reducing import costs and the start of food and beverages."
The Minister of Planning concluded his speech, noting that "it is agriculture that leads the wheel of development, and a sustainable solution by activating the role of the private sector."

    Abandonment abroad in loans
On the other hand, the Finance Committee suggested earlier in the day, an alternative option to external borrowing to solve the financial crisis in the country.
The head of the Finance Committee, Haitham Al-Jubouri, said in a press statement monitored by “Yassin Iraq” that “there have been solutions that can be dispensed with from external loans to overcome the stage of low oil prices.” One of the rounded accounts of some of the departments in the banks. ”
He revealed, "There are continuous meetings to find out the amount of money and decision-making," stressing that "the preference is to go toward internal borrowing, as it is considered government money."
Al-Jubouri stressed "the necessity of not affecting the cash liquidity available to banks, especially since the economic movement in the country is dependent on it", ruling out "the proposed saving of compulsory savings for employee salaries."
