Sabri reveals important details regarding the region’s share in the budget

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s parliamentary bloc, Vian Sabri, revealed important details regarding the Kurdistan region’s share in the federal budget for the fiscal year 2021.

Sabri said, to the program {By the Ruler} broadcast by the Al-Furat satellite channel tonight that “the share of the Kurdistan region in the federal budget is usually in accordance with agreements between the center and the region, and the paragraphs {10 and 11} that were included in the 2021 budget are concerned with this agreement.” 2019 ‘.

And she added, “As for all the paragraphs in Article 11, it comes to restore confidence between the center and the region, and the latter must deliver half of its oil revenue to SOMO,” indicating that “the region exports 430,000 barrels with the certificate of the SOMO company, and more than 250,000 barrels are for local consumption in Kurdistan.” .


Sabri added, “The federal government deducted the amount of damage for not handing over its oil to the region, and in the ISIS war and displacement we were forced to save and borrow from companies,” noting that “the Peshmerga is within the security system in the 2021 budget.”

She indicated that “a joint committee will review the region’s data, and it will take 3 months. The obligations are obligatory for Baghdad and Erbil,” denying “the presence of a representative for the region in Sumo.”

“The region is very serious about implementing the provisions of the budget in accordance with the constitution, and the Financial Management Law obligates Kurdistan and the provinces not affiliated with a region to hand over half of their revenues to the federal government,” Sabri declared.

She also stressed “the need to reach a representative budget and obliges the parties to implement its clauses,” declaring, “The region will hand over 250 thousand barrels of oil to Baghdad, to be matched by the delivery of all dues.”

Sabri added, “The loans must include Baghdad and Erbil at the same time, and that the Kurdistan government is serious about resolving all problems and disputes with the center, and it represents all political parties within the region.”

And she stated that “the budget is not devoid of political affair, despite its inclusion of citizen rights, but it does not mean that it is bad, and all Kurdish representatives agree on what was stated in Articles 10 and 11 of the parliamentary budget and finance, convinced of the proposed solutions.”

Sabri concluded, “The demonstrations in the region as a result of the absence of salaries and the federal government have not delivered only 5 pensions to employees, and they are not complete, and there are one million and 230 thousand who receive salaries in the region, and we hope that the budget will be approved in the spirit of the constitution and with high transparency by both parties.”
