    [size=45]Representative Alia Nassif called on the Prime Minister to agree to establish checks between the region and the regions of the Federal Authority to prevent the entry of imported and unlicensed goods coming from the outlets of the regional government, instead of placing the customs barrier around Baghdad.[/size]
    [size=45]She said in a statement today: “Most of the prohibited imported goods enter Iraq through the border crossings under the control of the region, including carcinogenic substances, spoiled food, fraudulent devices, and various goods prohibited from import, which easily reach central and southern Iraq.”[/size]
    [size=45]Nassif explained: “There is news that the government is currently working to establish a customs barrier around the capital, Baghdad, to prevent imported goods entering from the region’s outlets, and this barrier will not help at all in stopping the flow of prohibited and corrupt goods from the region, rather it will suffocate and besiege Baghdad and make the prices of goods high there. And in the provinces of Diyala and Salah al-Din. ”[/size]
    [size=45]She indicated: “The controls between us and the region are the best solution and a painful blow to the smugglers, from whom nothing but poisons and the destruction of the national economy come from, and therefore we hope that Mr. Al-Kazemi will agree to this proposal made by several government agencies.”[/size]
