First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan Karim Al Kaabi urged the government
to give the private sector great importance in light of the difficult economic conditions that the country and the world are going through as a result of the fluctuation of oil prices and the Corona pandemic.
Al-Kaabi met, following an extended meeting with the heads and members of the Hotel Association in the governorates of Najaf, Karbala and Baghdad, with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, where a set of hotel owners' demands that would support the local economy and motivate investors were conveyed.
The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament had discussed, during his meeting with the members of the Association, in the presence of a number of parliamentary committees (the Committee for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Endowments and Religious Affairs, Economy and Investment, Finance, Oil, Energy and Natural Resources), and a number of members of the House of Representatives, in addition to the President of the Tourism Authority and Director of the Department Residence, and the reporter of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, in a statement to his office, the problems and obstacles that hinder the advancement of the tourism reality in the country.
