Paying farmers' dues in the Kurdistan region for 3 years

{Economy: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Trade in the Kurdistan region announced today, Thursday, the arrival of farmers' dues for the wheat crop for the years 2014-2015-2016.

The Director General of the Ministry, Nawzad Sheikh Kamel, said during a press statement that farmers ’dues for wheat crops for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 reached the region, indicating that these receivables amount to 268 billion, 80 million and 380 thousand dinars, out of the total dues of farmers, which amount to 557 billion dinars.
Kamel added that the dues will be distributed to farmers after the Nowruz holidays, pointing out that a part of it was distributed to the farmers of Dohuk governorate before the Nowruz holiday, and that the farmers of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil will receive their financial dues after the Nowruz holidays and the completion of the distribution of employees' salaries in the Kurdistan region.
