Salah al-Din Governorate was subjected to widespread destruction and sabotage by ISIS terrorist gangs on the infrastructure, service and health facilities, and other facilities, prompting the government to launch annual allocations for its reconstruction to ensure the return of the displaced to their original areas.
Governor Ammar Jaber said in a press statement, "There is a great development in the work of the Reconstruction Fund that the governorate witnessed more than previous years, and currently there is a comprehensive municipal plan that will be launched soon that includes the development of services, roads, parks and other service matters."
He pointed out, "the allocation of an amount exceeding 70 billion dinars, distributed between Salah al-Din Governorate and the Reconstruction Fund, to complete the aforementioned plan during the current year after the provision of the financial requirements has been completed."
"The Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations is rebuilding a number of health centers in the governorate, a number of them were opened after completing the construction phase and equipping them with medical equipment," Jaber said.
The second quarter of this year will witness the completion of most of the reconstruction phases of the Tikrit Teaching Hospital, which is one of the most important medical facilities in the governorate that was sabotaged by ISIS terrorist gangs.
In turn, the director of grants, loans and international aid at the Reconstruction Fund, Laith Dhari Mahmoud, said in a press interview that "the fund's projects are continuing within the framework of grants and international aid and loans provided by brotherly and friendly countries for reconstruction and life to the affected areas."
