The Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee in the Kurdistan Parliament, Hifidar Ahmed, renewed the region’s commitment to its commitments contained in the agreement with Baghdad on the delivery of oil.
Ahmed confirmed in a statement that the regional government will not back down from its pledge to deliver oil while it is awaiting an understanding on the final technical formula of the budget agreement, after which it will hand over the agreed share of oil, adding that the high oil price will not be a reason to back down from implementing the budget provisions, but the region is waiting in return. That Baghdad also fulfill its obligations to Kurdistan.
