Trade is afraid of two things in the food basket

{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Commerce revealed, on Tuesday, its fear of two things in the food basket project.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, said in a statement to {Euphrates News} that "the food basket project is continuing and there is a serious intention for the ministry to continue providing the basket in cooperation with a number of government agencies," noting that "the food basket is a joint project with the private sector."
Hanoun pointed out that "the Ministry of Commerce is afraid that the materials will be replaced by other materials of lower quality, or that the agent will tamper with the products," calling on "citizens to receive their quotas and report any breach or defect that occurs by the agent."
A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce added: "We need popular oversight to prevent any corruption or manipulation that occurs."
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Commerce began distributing the food basket this July, which includes 7 items (flour, rice, sugar, oil, beans, chickpeas, tomato paste).
