The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed, on Tuesday, the importance of reforming the public and private sectors and developing plans to alleviate the problems of unemployment and poverty.
A presidential statement, a copy of which was received by Mawazine News, stated that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm."
President Barham Salih stressed "the important role played by the Ministry of Planning in drawing development, economic and social policies that all state institutions need, in addition to providing statistics and data, especially in the current stage that requires reforms at various levels and sectors in order to advance the Iraqi economy," noting To "the importance of reforming the public and private sectors and laying down plans to address and alleviate the problems of unemployment and poverty."
For his part, Minister Khaled Battal briefed the President of the Republic on the progress of the ministry's work and the tasks it is engaged in, as well as its future plans to raise the level of performance of state institutions towards a better achievement.
