Al-Atrushi expresses from Baghdad Kurdistan's readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Oil
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Oil Minister, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, stressed on Sunday the importance of working to increase transparency and exchange information on oil activity, while the Minister of Natural Resources in Kurdistan Region expressed the region's readiness for cooperation and dialogue with the Center.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, received today, the Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Kamal Al-Atrushi, and during the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation between the center and the region on the oil file."
The Federal Minister of Oil stressed the importance of working to increase transparency and exchange information related to oil activity, and the revenues generated from it, and to work together for the optimal investment of natural and hydrocarbon resources throughout Iraq in support and enhancement of the national economy, and to achieve our goals and plans in consolidating sustainable development plans, in the interest of the good. general".
The minister pointed to "the need to increase and intensify gas and clean energy investment projects in all our governorates, with the aim of achieving an increase in production, and working to reduce harmful gas emissions to protect the environment."
For his part, Al-Atrushi stressed, according to the statement, "the readiness of the region and the Ministry of Natural Resources for cooperation and dialogue with the center and the ministry in order to enhance prospects for joint cooperation to develop the oil industry."
And last Thursday, Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani directed Minister of Natural Resources Kamal Atrushi to visit the capital, Baghdad, with the aim of securing gasoline and white oil for citizens.
According to government spokesman Jotiar Adel, Barzani directed the minister to visit Baghdad in order to solve the problems related to the issue of gasoline, citing the reasons for the high prices of this substance to its rise in the world, especially since the region imports it from abroad.
