    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

Iraq is close to completing contracts for electricity production plants from solar energy to reach its plan that aims to produce 7.5 gigawatts, as it has completed the contract so far with 4 companies to build plants representing 5.5 gigawatts, while it is close to contracting with a Saudi company to produce 1 gigawatt, which means it needs a contract Additional to establish stations with 1 gigawatt to complete the target number.
Iraq signed contracts during the past months with the French company Total, which includes a contract to build a 1 gigawatt (1,000 megawatt) solar power plant in Basra, in addition to a contract with the Norwegian-Egyptian company Scatec with a capacity of 525 megawatts in the governorates of Karbala and Babil.
Iraq also signed a contract with the UAE's Masdar Company for the construction of 5 stations with a capacity of 2 megawatts, in Dhi Qar, Mosul, Amara and two stations in Ramadi.
In addition to a contract with the Chinese company, Porchina, to produce 2 gigawatts, bringing the total of the mentioned contracts to more than 5.5 gigawatts, before understandings were announced yesterday about the imminent signing of a contract with the Saudi company, Aquapower, to establish a 1 gigawatt plant in Najaf Governorate, to complete the contracts of about 6.5 gigawatts of electrical energy produced from the sun in 8 governorates, and there is only one contract of 1 gigawatt left to achieve the target plan to produce 7.5 gigawatts of electrical energy produced from the sun in Iraq, which means that the concluded contracts represent approximately 87% of the targeted energy of 7.5 gigawatts .
During the meeting of the Iraqi-Saudi Committee for Energy and Manufacturing Industries on Sunday, it was agreed to sign a contract for the construction of a power plant with a capacity of 1 gigawatt in Najaf Governorate.
The Acting Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, stressed "the importance of the Iraqi-Gulf electrical connection, and his ministry's readiness to provide all technical capabilities to implement this project, which contributes to covering an important part of Iraq's need."
He pointed out that "the imminent signing of the agreement with the Saudi company (Aqua Power) to implement the investment project to generate (1,000) megawatts of solar energy in the province of Najaf."
