    {Local: Al Furat News} The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali al-Sistani, received this Tuesday noon in his office in Najaf, a number of medical and administrative staff at the Al-Wareth International Foundation for Oncology, affiliated with the Imam Hussain shrine in the holy city of Karbala, along with a number of patients. Those who are being treated there were among them some children with their parents.
    A statement by the threshold media said that the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it that Imam al-Sistani "listened to a brief explanation of the institution's work and the services it provides to cancer patients from its general manager, Dr. Haider Hamza al-Abidi."
    The supreme reference "expressed his deep appreciation for this pioneering medical institution and the efforts of His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai in providing good medical care to all Iraqis, regardless of their sects and nationalities."
    Imam al-Sistani thanked "the medical and nursing staff and all the employees of the aforementioned institution for their efforts and their great humanitarian services, and prayed for them with goodness, blessing and more success. He also called for the patients present and all other patients with a speedy recovery and full health."
    The Supreme Reference, Sayyid Al-Sistani, "during the meeting, listened to the girl (Janat Imad Abdel Wahhab), who had leukemia, who expressed her thanks to the religious authority for caring for patients, and her gratitude for the kind initiative undertaken by the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in providing free treatment in its centers to all patients for a period of twenty days. ".
