[size=45]On Thursday, the President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed with the Swiss Ambassador to Iraq and Jordan Lucas Gasser a set of internal issues, including the political situation in the country.[/size]
[size=45]A statement issued by the Presidency of the Region stated that President Barzani met this morning Ghasser and his accompanying delegation.[/size]
[size=45]He added that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening Iraq's and Kurdistan Region's relations with Switzerland, and in this context the importance of opening a Swiss embassy in Baghdad was emphasized, and the political process and the situation in Iraq in general were discussed.[/size]
[size=45]According to the statement, the two sides agreed that national and religious pluralism in Iraq is a factor of enrichment, and it is important that the Iraqis reach a common understanding regarding the political process in the country, and that the next government and the political process in general be inclusive that serves political stability and the interests of Iraq and all its components and be up to the challenges it faces.[/size]
[size=45]In turn, President Barzani stressed that it is important that political stability be established in Iraq and that a path be found for joint action and partnership and solving problems, especially the problems of Erbil-Baghdad.[/size]
