The Iraqi parliament obtains assurances to pay the financial dues to the farmers
Shafaq News/ The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Sheikha Wan Abdullah, announced on Tuesday that he had obtained assurances from the Iraqi government for the payment of financial dues to farmers.
Abdullah said in a statement to a number of media outlets, including Shafak News Agency, "In light of the deliberative session of the House of Representatives yesterday, Monday, to host the Ministers of Trade and Agriculture, the ministers were hosted today, and a number of issues were discussed," stressing that "the agricultural sector is very important to ensure Food Security Iraq.
He added that "there are many problems that were raised during the hosting of the ministers, including the entitlements of the farmers, and there was a response from the ministers."
Abdullah added, "We hope that there will be joint cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities."
