    Earth News/ The Border Ports Authority announced, today, Wednesday, that it has prepared a program for checking the customs and tax receipts, noting that it will have a major role in protecting public money, preventing fees tampering and preventing any fraud that may occur inside the border crossings.
    The Border Ports Authority said in a statement received by Earth News, "The head of the Border Ports Authority, Major General Omar Al-Waeli, participated, today, Wednesday, in the meeting of the Electronic Governance Committee, headed by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi."
    She added, "Where the head of the authority presented the activity of the customs and border ports automation team, the activity was of two types: the first was the preparation of the exempted materials program by linking it between the Border Ports Authority and the General Directorate of Industrial Development in the Ministry of Industry, as well as coordination with the General Authority of Customs and the National Investment Authority to give them a branch of This system is in order to speed up the circulation of mail and prevent delays to support the process of commercial exchange, as well as to control and reduce forgery and manipulation of exemption books and their quantities.”
    And she added, "The second activity was to prepare an electronic program and with self-efforts by the Ports Authority to check the customs and tax receipts, and this program was installed at the Munthiriya border port, as well as Baghdad Airport and the ports of Safwan and Shalamjah, and there are continuous efforts in coordination between the Ports Authority, the Tax Authority and the Customs Authority to complete the installation of this program." At all border crossings, which will have a major role in protecting public money, preventing fees tampering, and preventing any fraud that may occur inside border crossings.
