The independent deputy, Basem Khashan, considered, on Thursday, that MP Alaa Al-Rikabi revealed that giving his vote to Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi is contrary to the trends of the demonstrators who refuse to rotate the presidency, stressing that Al-Rikabi has no right to claim that he represents the demonstrations.
Khashan said in a statement to "The Information", "MP Alaa Al-Rikabi is free and has the right to vote in any direction, but his announcement of giving his vote to Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi violated the directions of the demonstrations rejecting the rotation of the faces of the three presidencies."
He added, "After this disclosure by Representative Alaa Al-Rikabi, he is no longer a representative of the demonstrations and he has no right to talk in the future about that he represents the demonstrators or even part of them."
