Representative of the State of Law coalition Jassem al-Moussawi confirmed, on Wednesday, that the coordination framework and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan will boycott the next session to choose the president of the republic, to prevent the formation of a new government subject to political parties.

Al-Moussawi said in an interview with "Information", "The bulk of the winning blocs, especially the coordination framework and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, will go to disrupt the upcoming parliament session to choose the President of the Republic due to the lack of prior agreement on the largest bloc that would form the new government."
He added, "The two previous sessions of the prime minister's office, whether headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi, or the current outgoing session headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi affected it by some political blocs, and therefore it failed to achieve its government program based on serving the Iraqi people."
The representative of State of Law explained that “we will work with maximum force to agree on the largest bloc that sets the correct program to form the new government, and thus it will be a strong national government far from the influences and alignment of the blocs and parties within the parliament, in addition to its ability to complete its presidential entitlement during the next four years.” Done/25 SR
