The (Vocational Education Department) for the education of the Holy Karbala Governorate, the Vocational Supervision Division, held training and development workshops for contract lecturers for the years (2019 and 2020) affiliated with the vocational section for males and females in the halls of (Al-Abbas Vocational Preparatory School) in the center of the province, and a group of specialized educational supervisors and a number of others from Teachers assigned to supervise lectures and conduct professional examinations for lecturers.
Hamza Abdul-Hussein Fadlallah, the supervisor of the Vocational Supervision Division, a senior educator, said in an interview with Noon news agency: We in the Vocational Supervision Division of the Vocational Education Department in Karbala took it upon ourselves to prepare workshops and training courses for lecturers with a contract by giving lectures in order to put their feet on the right path. What we wish for them to get rid of some old and outdated practices and try to introduce new ways of dealing with students and class management, indicating that (240 lecturers with a contract) participated in this training workshop, whose contracts were signed in the years (2019 and 2020) by males and females, at a rate of (120 lecturers) in The first meal and the remainder in the second meal, which will be held in the next week of this month.He explained that we developed a brief curriculum for the training workshop and gave them samples of instructions for the Department of Vocational Education that include regulations, laws, class management, how time is used during the forty-minute lesson plan, and how to prepare exam questions in the correct way and not in the traditional prevailing way.
And Fadlallah added, we worked for them a new plan, which I do not think exists or is being used in any school or in any other governorate, and it is a plan similar to the lesson plan for setting tests and exam questions. The material is transferred from the sender to the future, who is the student, and this method includes several elements that we have explained in detail, in addition to the art of dealing with others, how to deal with the school principal and with the teacher’s colleague, and how he accepts self-criticism and construction. There are many, and every work we ask of them, we give them tangible evidence, such as the necessity of joint correction and setting fixed standards for student evaluation.Pointing out that the important and basic point is that we showed them how to prepare (the lesson plan) according to the correct preparation, not the preparation that exists at the present time for most teachers, such as transferring the scientific material to the plan notebook, but the main purpose of the plan is how to transfer the scientific material to the student and how to use the scientific means How do I divide the time and how do I see the feedback from the student, whether he accepted the material or not, pointing out that we gave them concrete practices about the qualities of (a good teacher) and they were convinced of them and touched them on the ground, and we concluded the session with short presentations for each participant fifteen minutes in which they gave us (a model lesson We opened the door for discussions and started with positive things, and then we gave some practices that took place in order to correct them for the participants, and we saw the joy and acceptance in everyone's faces.Pointing out that we gave them concrete practices about the qualities of (a good teacher) and they were convinced of them and touched them on the ground. For their part, the lecturers expressed their thanks and gratitude to those in charge of these training and development workshops, which would develop their teaching and pedagogical skills and overcome the problems and obstacles that occur with them in exchange for days, at a time when they appealed to government agencies to install them on the permanent staff to enjoy all the rights and duties enjoyed by the government employee.
