    A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, revealed, on Wednesday, that an Emirati company acquired 5 central markets in Baghdad with unfair contracts, indicating that these contracts require Iraq to evacuate them even from the guards and give them to the investor.
    Hanoun said, in a televised interview, which was followed by the "Information" agency, that "an Emirati company has acquired 5 central markets affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce, according to a (strange and wondrous) contract," as he described it.
    He added that "the contract stipulates that the markets must be evacuated from the guards and all employees without exception," noting that "that company intended to sell those markets to other parties through its unfair and strange contracts, which obligate Iraq to grant financial compensation in the event of termination of contracts."
    Hanoun pointed out that "Iraq is in a dangerous situation if we do not secure strategic storage, and that Parliament has set the tasks of the Ministry of Commerce in organizing trade policy," noting that "the ministry was not consulted with the Food Security Law." Ended 25
