[rtl]Today, Thursday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee spoke about the most prominent problems facing the 2024 budget, while indicating that reducing its deficit requires amending some tables.[/rtl]
[rtl]A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Moeen Al-Kadhimi, said, “The Finance Committee began holding its first meeting after receiving the current year’s budget schedules, with the aim of reviewing the schedules and starting to study them for the purpose of proceeding with their approval as quickly as possible.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The current budget does not contain new job grades or contracts," indicating that the House of Representatives will have comments on those schedules and will work to amend them according to the powers granted to it, but without any new financial additions. Rather, it will reduce the deficit in the budget.[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "The budget contains increases in salary requirements that amounted to 8.5 trillion dinars per month, which led to an increase in the size of the budget to 228 trillion dinars. Therefore, the budget does not bear any other financial additions."[/rtl]
