    Today, Thursday (May 23, 2024), the Civil Aviation Authority discussed with the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO ), Juan Carlos Salazar, the issue of bringing in foreign experts, enhancing the work reality, and building capabilities during the coming period.
    The Aviation Authority media said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today”, that “Under the guidance of the Assistant Head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Amjad Kazem Hassoun, the Civil Aviation Authority delegation discussed with the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO ), Juan Carlos Salazar, and the organization’s regional director in the Middle East, Muhammad Abu Bakr Al-Farea, on the sidelines of the meeting of general directors of civil aviation in the Middle East in Riyadh. 
    The statement is clear: “The meeting discussed ways to support the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority by bringing in international experts, enhancing the reality of its work, and building capabilities during the coming period.” 
    He continued, "The authority delegation also held a meeting with the director of the ICAO Technical Cooperation Office, to discuss the necessary facilities in completing the contract signed with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority."
