    A member of the State of Law coalition, Abbas Al-Maliki, confirmed on Sunday that the caretaker prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, enabled the region to control the Iraqi markets by closing the outlets in the center and south.

    Al-Maliki said in a statement to the "Information" agency, "Al-Kazemi's decision to close the southern outlets forced the merchants to enter their goods from the region's outlets with additional expenses," noting that "the resources of the region's outlets go to the regional government and not to the central government, unlike the central and southern outlets."
    He added that "the people need clarifications from the government regarding its intention to create a price crisis in the southern governorates by closing the central and southern outlets and opening the region's outlets exclusively."
    He pointed out, "The need to open all outlets in the center and south to reduce the prices of food products and stabilize the local market."
