    Information / Baghdad.
An informed source revealed, on Thursday, that the “KAR” company has set up its own lobby to smuggle oil from the shares of Baghdad gas stations and the neighboring provinces of the Kurdistan region of Iraq in exchange for huge sums, indicating that the gasoline trucks were transferred from those provinces to Kalar and other areas in Kurdistan.
The source said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma" that "Kar Company, owned by the Barzani family, has worked during the past period to form a lobby for smuggling oil derivatives from the north and south to the stations of the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
He added, "Kurd merchants visit Baghdad, Diyala and Kirkuk and buy fuel rations from private stations with profits estimated at 5 million dinars for each truck, and that Kar Company will ensure its transportation and insurance from Baghdad to the Kalar district within the Sulaymaniyah governorate."
The source, who asked not to be named, explained that "the rise in international oil prices forced Kurdistan to stop importing from neighboring countries and resort to tricks through the Kar Company to smuggle oil subsidized by its price from Baghdad and sold to private stations at 700 dinars per liter," noting that " Some of the supervisors of the private gas stations in the Ministry of Oil remain silent in exchange for sums of money from the owners of the private stations. finished/25 d
