Shafaq News/ The Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq confirmed, on Monday, that the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives had handed over lists of the names of the winning parliamentarians, in addition to other lists of substitutes (the biggest losers).
A member of the commission's media team, Imad Jamil, told Shafak News Agency, "The Presidency of Parliament will not need the Electoral Commission to know the replacements or the so-called first loser in the legislative elections that took place last October, regardless of his party or regional affiliation."
Jamil explained, "The Commission had handed over to the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives statements and lists of the names of the deputies who won the highest votes, as well as the names of the replacements or the first losers in each electoral district, and therefore they can review those lists and determine the replacements."
Deputies of the Sadrist bloc (75 deputies) submitted official resignations to Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi, who approved them immediately on Sunday (12 June).
And political parties suggested that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi would initiate to address the Electoral Commission to provide the Presidency of the Council with lists of replacements for the resigned al-Sadr deputies.

The Electoral Commission handed over to Parliament lists of replacements for Sadr's deputies
