    {Political: Al Furat News} The Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting today, Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani.
    In the first paragraph of the meeting's agenda, the Minister of the Region for Negotiations with the Federal Government, Khaled Shwani, presented the results of the visit of the delegation of the Kurdistan Region to the Federal Office of Financial Supervision in Baghdad regarding the report of the joint financial supervision team.
    The Council of Ministers affirmed its firm position in continuing negotiations and discussions with the federal government, with the aim of solving the outstanding problems between the region and Baghdad within the framework of the constitution.
    The Negotiating Committee and the Board of Financial Supervision of the region were also directed to continue to continue meetings and discussions in this regard, with the need to take the necessary coordination and cooperation with the Kurdish blocs and the legal team of the Council, to start the necessary measures for the legal and constitutional defense of the rights and entitlements of the region as stipulated in the constitution. Especially after the federal and regional financial audit bureaus agreed on the region's expenditures, revenues and staffing.
    Subsequently, the Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Department and Secretary of the Higher Committee for the Implementation of the Reform Law, Abdul Hakim Khusraw, briefed on Report No. (3) issued by the Council of Ministers related to the Reform Law, which was referred to the Kurdistan Parliament. The report consists of three main parts based on articles and paragraphs of the Law Reform No. (2) of 2020, which addresses the progress made and obstacles to implementing the law, as it is a pivotal part of the work program of the ninth cabinet. 
    It was decided that each ministry separately, starting next week, will present the reforms achieved within the framework of the reform law in ministries and government departments, provided that they are supported by data and information and in accordance with their terms of reference. The programs and future plans in this regard were also discussed, to be presented to the public so that the people of Kurdistan could see the steps accomplished by the ninth ministerial cabinet in the field of reform.
    The second paragraph of the meeting’s agenda was devoted to voting on the draft law to amend Article 4 of Law No. (22) of 2007, regarding adding the Prime Minister’s Cabinet to the membership of the Regional Council for Oil and Gas Affairs, as the Council of Ministers approved it unanimously and decided to send it to the Kurdistan Parliament for legislation. .
    In the third paragraph of the agenda, Reber Ahmed, Minister of the Interior, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee concerned with solving the problem of private property for Christians, presented the minutes of the committee, which included a number of decisions and proposals.
    The Council of Ministers thanked the head of the committee and its members and to each of the governors of Erbil and Dohuk for doing their job well. The Prime Minister indicated that the regional government continues to preserve and defend the rights of all components, including Christian citizens in the region, especially since respect, tolerance and coexistence are among the beautiful features of the region. Kurdistan is a place of pride.
    The Prime Minister ordered all ministries to prevent any encroachment or appropriation of Christian properties or any other citizen in the region, and no individual, group, or party, under any name, is allowed to attempt to harm the principle of coexistence and inflict injustice and domination against citizens.

    In the fourth paragraph of the agenda, the Council of Ministers approved the proposal to extend the work of the previous decision of the Council of Ministers related to reducing 15 percent of government advances provided to citizens such as: real estate advances, housing fund loans and real estate bank, marriage advances, small loans, agricultural bank advances, and advances Industrial and tourism projects, the accumulated financial obligations of the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, social security, delay penalties and interest on taxes and fees. This extension will be valid for a period of 90 days, and is considered the last opportunity to benefit from these facilities, and it is not extendable.
    At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Natural Resources and the concerned authorities to solve the problem of high gasoline prices as soon as possible after overburdening citizens, while allowing the import of gasoline and in accordance with the relevant instructions.
