    The statements of former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo regarding the assassination of the victory leaders (Deputy Head of the Popular Mobilization Authority Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani) sparked a political and security controversy regarding the suspicious role of the US Embassy that goes beyond the limits of diplomatic representation.

    Specialists believe that Pompeo's statements could constitute an occasion to reopen the investigation wide open in this sensitive file that touches on Iraq's sovereignty and security, after the Iraqi side remained idling and did not achieve any significant progress.
    Despite repeated calls from many members of the House of Representatives to open the investigation, announce its results to the public opinion, and condemn those involved and the negligent ones, the failure was the most prominent feature of the Parliament, which is repelled by various whims and trends on one side, and political and American pressures on the other.
    Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who was aware of the details of the operation, made statements revealing new, previously unreported facts about the crime.
    Pompeo said, "Soleimani's bag, which was with him, was delivered from the plane to his car by an American intelligence element, and when the plane arrived at Baghdad airport, it was stopped in the path by an American intelligence element as well."
    Pompeo explained, "Commander Soleimani was within the range of snipers' fire," stressing that "3 teams were stationed inside Baghdad Airport to monitor his entry."
    In this regard, the security advisor, Adnan Al-Kinani, called, in an interview followed by "The Information", to "form three independent investigation committees. The first committee is made up of retired military and security leaders to help them study the incident without being influenced by a position or other temptations, and the second could be a problem. By the Popular Mobilization Authority and the Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Committee of the Ministry of Interior in addition to the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, and the Third Committee whose parties are among the affected or those who delegate them to claim the personal right to be parties to the investigation and then wait for what the investigations will produce.”
    Al-Kinani stressed, “It is the right of Iraq, as a fully sovereign state, to file a lawsuit before international forums to establish the right, and in addition to that, the targeting of an Iraqi military commander and a guest who had a very big role in the battle of liberation, and thus targeting these two figures in a vital Iraqi location.” He stressed that "airports and dams are considered in military norms, and it is forbidden to target them."
    Returning to Pompeo’s statements, he revealed that “the support force headed by the Delta Force official was stationed at the embassy and monitoring the situation with live broadcast cameras inside and outside the airport, while an American special force was walking directly behind his column.”
    It should be noted that a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, accused earlier, the outgoing government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, of continuing the policy of procrastination and procrastination by revealing the circumstances of the results of the investigation into the assassination of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, the martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the commander of the Quds Force, the martyr Qassem Soleimani. finished/25 d
