Dhi Qar - INA - Zahra Sabah
The Department of Labor and Vocational Training in Dhi Qar, affiliated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, revealed today, Saturday, its work mechanism and the training workshops it provides to engage young people in the labor market.
The director general of the department, Muhammad Al-Ghazi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Department of Labor and Vocational Training in Dhi Qar includes the Vocational Training Center in Nasiriyah, in addition to popular centers in a number of districts and districts affiliated to the governorate."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]He added, "The center is concerned with training young people of both sexes, who are looking for work, by engaging them in professional courses from which they can gain scientific and practical experience, as well as field work."
He pointed out that "there are several free training workshops in the center, with specialized cadres, including workshops for pipe welding, refrigeration, air conditioning, mobile maintenance, men's haircuts, women's hairdressers, sewing, computer education and maintenance, English language teaching, food industry, electrical installations, carpentry and generator maintenance."
He explained that "the number of participants varies from year to year and according to the governorate's circumstances, as it is possible for the center to leave approximately 1,000 people per year, but at the present time it is less than that due to the special conditions."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]He stressed that "the importance of training workshops is to employ young people in the local market by gaining them a certain profession, especially those that have a demand in the market," noting that "the mechanism for applying to training workshops is done through an announcement to all, and graduates and non-graduates can engage in these courses provided that they be neither an employee nor a student.”
And he indicated that "the courses are divided throughout the year, according to a curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Labor and according to the absorptive capacity."
