BAGHDAD / NINA / The new Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi expressed his intention to dissolve the outstanding problems between the federal government and the Kurdistan region within a united federal Iraq.
He said in a press statement issued by his press office today that “differences must be addressed in the light of the Constitution and the principle of national partnership to promote the unity of Iraq and its full sovereignty on its land.”
He added it is necessary to unify efforts and increase cooperation and coordination between the center and the region in the areas of military and security services to fight the Islamic State and terrorist groups and eliminate them. / End
