    , Member of Parliament Alia Nassif described today, Monday, the statement published by the Civil Aviation Authority regarding the contract with Business Intel as "suspicious and full of inaccuracies" and that it includes an admission that the company does not have a license to practice security work from the Ministry of Interior.


    Nassif said in a statement received by[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3172698065/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%86%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B2/ar/]Alsumaria news[/url], that "we have previously submitted urgent information to the Integrity and Public Prosecution Commission and[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3491895902/%D8%AF%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Office of Financial Supervision[/url]According to our letter No. (2734) on 16/8/2022, in which we urgently demanded to stop contracting with (Biznis Intel) and for the reasons stated in the book.”






    In response to the statement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority yesterday, the representative confirmed that “the authority has admitted that (Biznis Intel) company does not have a license to practice security work from the Ministry of Interior, despite that it referred the security protection contract to[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/120339287/%D9%85%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B1 %D8%A8%D8%BA%D8%AF%D8%A7%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84%D9%8A/ar/]Baghdad International Airport[/url]to it, which is a violation of Article (3) of the Private Security Companies Law No. 52 of 2017, which stipulates that (it is prohibited for a private security company to conduct its activities without obtaining a work permit in accordance with the provisions of this law) and places the Director General of the Authority under legal accountability With everyone who signed the referral report.

    And she continued: "There are suspicions of corruption in the matter of the referral, and this is clear through the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority adding (Biznis Intel) company by hand to the memorandum of the Contracts Department / Contracting Division No. (217) on 9/5/2021, and then referring to the same memorandum. On 10/5/2021 (urgent / contracts / approved and legally necessary procedure) in a non-original procedure and without taking the opinion of the concerned departments in the authority and without going through the series of procedures followed with its predecessors from competing companies.

    Nassif explained, "The Civil Aviation Authority has violated the law criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity No. 1 of 2022 because the company has dealings with Israel through the Israeli Barakat Company."

    The representative confirmed, "The referral decision violates the text of Article (16/first) of the Federal Financial Management Law No. (6) of 2019, which stipulates that (it is not permissible to enter into a financial obligation except after ensuring that the necessary financial allocation is available) due to the lack of sufficient financial allocation. To contract, which will drag it to the courts from the other party and pay compensation due to the inability to fulfill its contractual obligations, which is considered corruption.” ".

    She pointed out that "the Civil Aviation Authority has dealt with the issue in an unprofessional manner, and this is clear through its recognition that the company's audit has not been completed so far. It is unfortunate that the Civil Aviation Authority claims, according to its statement, that it deals with transparency and clarity in its work, but the reality of the situation proves the opposite."

    Nassif renewed her claim to the Integrity Commission and the Public Prosecution Service[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/3491895902/%D8%AF%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Office of Financial Supervision[/url]And the competent security services to “break their silence and take urgent legal measures in order to stop contracting with this company in order to preserve public money from wastage and not to hand over airport security to such kind of unreliable and suspicious companies,” calling for “opening an investigation regarding the above and holding all of the above to be held accountable.” Whoever signed the referral report and brought them to justice, as it represents tampering with the security of our citizens, the capital’s airport, and the safety of flights.”

    She added, "The Civil Aviation Authority deals transparently and clearly with all governmental and parliamentary institutions in responding to any question or inquiry from it, especially what were answered from the questions asked to some of the deputies and providing them with all documents and priorities for all contracts concluded by the authority in accordance with fundamental controls." .
