[size=45]The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, the Vatican's ambassador to Iraq, Archbishop Mita Leskovar.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting witnessed discussions on the general situation in Iraq, in addition to discussing prospects for strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Vatican.[/size]
[size=45]The Vatican ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Pope of the Vatican, his thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government for his efforts in embracing and hosting the displaced and refugees in general, and Christians in particular, after they sought refuge in the Kurdistan Region and lived there in peace in a safe and stable atmosphere.[/size]
[size=45]The Prime Minister renewed the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to consolidating the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the various components.[/size]
