    The former Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, stressed that corruption still has strong arms, and needs a comprehensive and serious national position to extract it, warning that partisan pressure and political blackmail for any government will hinder the completion of administrative and economic reforms.

    Al-Kazemi said, in a speech today, Thursday (October 27, 2022), that “it is my duty to advise that partisan pressure and political blackmail for any government will hinder the completion of administrative and economic reforms, face future challenges, and even impede the duty to eliminate corruption, which still - unfortunately - has It has strong arms, and it needs a comprehensive and serious national stance to extract it through support for reform and respect for the law.”

    He added: “We hand over responsibility today to the new government, and Iraq is enjoying increasing regional and international appreciation, and has become a destination for resolving complex disputes, in which regional and international conferences are held, such as the Baghdad Conference on Partnership and Cooperation. My government has opened broad horizons of cooperation with Iraq’s brothers and neighbors, and with the international community, and Iraq’s foreign policy is in line with the aspirations of our peaceful people, yearning for progress, prosperity and well-being, and adhering to their authenticity, sovereignty and national spirit.

    Al-Kazemi expressed his thanks to “our dear people who supported us throughout the past stage, and thanks to the position of the rational reference, which was and will remain a safety valve for this country, and I thank all the young men and women of Iraq, who have demonstrated with their sacrifices their keenness on the homeland and their awareness of challenges, and I thank the military and security forces, In all its forms, which were patient in order to protect Iraq and its people, and I thank the state’s cadre, from ministers, agents and managers down to every employee, who maintained the honesty despite the difficulties, challenges and temptations, and I thank all the supporters, who did not spare us advice, advice, constructive criticism and even harsh criticism.

    He also thanked Al-Kazemi, “the professional team that accompanied me throughout this noble mission, indifferent to threats and abuses, and I thank all the countries of the world and their governments, sisterly and friendly, who have stood with us and are still, to overcome difficulties and confront and defeat terrorism, and thanks and gratitude to all Iraqis, in every home, neighborhood and city for their Extension of the homeland, who have been my family, my support and my party since the moment I took charge, and their religion and virtue will remain in my neck.”
