Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani discussed with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zeidan, on Sunday, strengthening judicial and legal steps to protect public funds.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Office, of which Mawazine News received a copy, stated that "Al-Sudani received today, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, to congratulate him on the occasion of assuming his new duties."
According to the statement, "the meeting witnessed a joint emphasis on the importance of integrating the executive and judicial authorities, and the judiciary's support for the government's actions in preserving public funds under the umbrella of the constitution."
He continued, "They also discussed strengthening judicial and legal steps to protect public funds, in a way that enhances citizens' confidence in the performance of state agencies, in their legislative, executive and judicial aspects." Ended 29/R77
