Shafaq News/ Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior directed the printing of five million cards and distributing them to citizens in the coming days, in a step to address the reluctance in distributing them.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Hussein Al-Awadi held a meeting with the directors of the Civil Status, Passports and Residence Departments in the governorates, explaining that he confirmed that five million cards will be printed in the coming days and distributed to citizens in all governorates.
Al-Awadi also confirmed that his ministry is seeking to resolve the issue of civilian employees in the combat forces and transfer them to the national ID departments in their governorates, calling on the directors of the departments to form a committee to visit the sub-districts in the governorate.
The Undersecretary directed that the director be present in his department with the citizens and follow up on the progress of their transactions, stressing the commitment to the military uniform of officers and associates, the uniform for civil servants and working hours.
Citizens complain of a clear reluctance to grant the national card by the departments competent to issue it throughout Iraq, which caused an increase in the momentum of the auditors.
