Baghdad / Obelisk: Representative Jassem Jbara believes that the provincial councils are the legitimate alternative to the families of officials, in reference to their overwhelming influence in Anbar.
Gebara said that the provincial councils suspended their work after exceeding the specified period of their 4-year term and reduced the number of their members.
He added that whatever opinions are about the councils, they are the legitimate alternative to the governor's son, his brother-in-law, his cousin, his relatives, his office manager and his friend.
Jabara concluded his speech by saying: They have committed double what the councils committed on the earth.
Al-Anbar and other governorates suffer from the domination of officials' families and relatives over most of the state's institutions, according to what the residents acknowledge.
Fingers are pointed at the families of officials in violating the laws in Anbar and causing chaos.
Earlier, the sister of a senior official caused a dispute between two clans that led to security tension in the governorate, because her protection assaulted and arrested a specialist doctor, in defense of her nurse friend.
Before that, the command of the 6th Anbar Police Emergency Regiment was beaten and humiliated by an influential security guard in Fallujah.
In a realistic comparison between the sons of officials who enjoy privileges and a ready-made luxurious life, and an Iraqi youth who fought against terrorism and whose rights are still violated, activist Ali Talib says that the families of the martyrs and wounded have been subjected to great injustice, so there is no cash allowance or plots of land, wondering: What is the excuse for officials, the law and the constitution guarantees their rights?
And a follower of Iraqi affairs, Hashem al-Baghdadi, tweeted: Does the law include the children and relatives of the officials' families, or do they only have the privileges of diplomatic passports and travel abroad?
The distinction enjoyed by the relatives of officials, and the sons of ruling and influential figures, Iraqis have suffered for decades, as a result of authoritarianism and the absence of social justice. As the former Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army Nizar al-Khazrahi admitted, there was a competition between the sons of officials in the former Iraqi regime, to plunder the wealth of Kuwait during the invasion.
And Qahtan Abu Muhammad monitors discrimination in favor of the sons and families of officials who are classified as first-class and second-class citizens.
Referring to social injustice, activist Sana says that in the event of the implementation of the compulsory conscription law, the children of officials and the rich will pay the monetary allowance, and the citizen will be the victim.
