The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, affirmed his full support for the struggle, freedom, rights of women and equality, stressing that “unless women are liberated, a free, equal, secure and advanced civil society will not be achieved.”[/size]
[size=45]The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, said in a statement on the occasion of the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women", today, Friday (November 25, 2022), that we "stand in every way in the face of all kinds of violence, assault and violation of women's rights and freedom."[/size]
[size=45]The President of the Kurdistan Region also stressed that he will continue to work to "eliminate violent extremist ideology and pave a better ground for women's participation and partnership in the political and administrative arena in the Kurdistan Region."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that he will cooperate and coordinate “with the concerned authorities at home and at the international level, so that women enjoy protection from all aspects within the family, in the workplace and in all public spheres, and they are immune from harassment and violence.”[/size]
[size=45]The following is the text of the statement of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women:[/size]
[size=45]“Today, November 25th, marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and on this occasion, we affirm the expression of our full support for the struggle, freedom, rights of women and equality. We will continue, as always, to strive, work, and struggle to achieve more, protect women's rights, and create a society in which women enjoy freedom and equality, and are not exposed in any way and under any justification to violence and killing. Unless women are liberated, a free, equal, secure and advanced civil society will not be achieved.[/size]
