The Council of Ministers, during its session held today, Tuesday, issued several decisions.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office said, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani presided today, Tuesday, the seventh regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which developments in the general situation in the country were discussed, and deliberations on a number of important files and issues, in addition to discussing the topics on the agenda." and take the necessary recommendations and decisions in this regard.
And the Council of Ministers decided within the framework of advancing the agricultural reality in Iraq, and for the purpose of supporting farmers and farmers for the current agricultural season, according to the text of the following statement:
- Authorizing the Minister of Agriculture to purchase 60,000 tons of al-Dab fertilizer, at a price not exceeding 1,550,000 (one million five hundred and fifty thousand dinars) per ton, an additional quantity previously contracted at 90 thousand tons, from the Ministry of Industry, and an exception from the contracting methods stipulated in Article (3) of the Government Contracts Implementation Instructions No. (2) of 2014, and the effective federal budget implementation instructions.
And the statement continued, "In the same approach to support farmers and farmers, and in order to preserve the yellow corn product, the Cabinet approved the following:
1- The duly approved private sector laboratories are used to ensure that the yellow corn crop is not lost, and the Ministry of Agriculture is authorized to contract directly with them as an exception to the contracting methods, and the airports of the Ministry of Defense are used as areas for receiving corn cobs under the management and supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture.
2- The 2023 budget includes an amount of 250 billion dinars (two hundred and fifty billion dinars), for the purpose of completing the purchase of yellow corn for the current season 2022, provided that the aforementioned budget law includes a text according to which the proceeds of selling yellow corn to livestock breeders transfer 70% to the treasury. and (30%) for each of the two companies of the Ministry of Agriculture (Mesopotamia for Seeds - Al-Iraqiya for Seed Production).
The Cabinet continued discussing other issues on the agenda, and issued the following decisions in their regard, according to the statement:
First / Approving the amendment of Cabinet Resolutions (287 of 2021 and 179 of 2022), according to the following:
- Transferring the ownership of 3,000 dunums from Al-Ghazlani Camp to the current Ministry of Defense to be used according to its purposes and objectives without compensation, provided that it is not used as military headquarters or barracks, and the remaining area of the camp is allocated for the establishment of a residential investment project to be announced by the Ministry of Finance in accordance with the Investment Law (13 of the year). 2006) amended, in accordance with the requirements of Cabinet Resolution (245 of 2019).
Second / Approval of announcing the special form to fill the vacancy in the membership of the Federal Service Council prepared by the Customs Order Committee (27 of 2021), and the accompanying linking of the Federal Service Council letter numbered (M.R / 19), dated April 4, 2021, according to the conditions Mentioned in Article (5) of the Federal Service Council Law (4 of 2009).
Third / amending paragraph (2) of Cabinet Resolution (295 of 2022) regarding the Al-Khader and Al-Daraji water project in Al-Muthanna Governorate, to become according to the following:
- The signing of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works financing agreement between German development and the Iraqi government as soon as possible.
