Shafaq News/ Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani said, on Friday, that China is the most important importer of Iraqi crude oil and that it is seeking to expand the horizons of cooperation in all fields between Beijing and Baghdad.
The Minister of Oil's statement came in a statement reported by his media office during his escort to Prime Minister Mohamed Shayaa Al-Sudani to attend the Arab-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development in Riyadh.

Abdel-Ghani said that the Sudanese government seeks to achieve balanced cooperation relations with everyone, in a way that serves common interests.
He stressed that Iraq is open in its relations to everyone and has distinguished relations and cooperation with the Arab countries, neighboring countries, the United States, China, India, Japan, the countries of the continent of Asia, Africa, Europe and other friendly countries, and seeks to strengthen and expand the horizons of cooperation in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy, developing the oil and energy sector and sustainable development. .
Abdul Ghani considered China an economic power to be reckoned with, and it is one of the largest oil consuming countries, and is among the most prominent importers of Iraqi oil, adding that we sensed a great desire on the Chinese side to expand the horizons of cooperation in all fields, including the oil and energy sector and other economic axes.
He pointed out that the Asian market is promising and is witnessing growth despite health and security challenges and political tensions facing the global economy.
And the Minister of Oil continued by saying, "We are working within the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries" OPEC "and the "OPEC Plus" alliance to achieve stability in the global oil markets, achieve a balance between supply and demand, and reach satisfactory prices for the producer and the consumer.
