    Today, Wednesday (June 26, 2024), Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Assadi renewed his call to all workers in various work sectors to benefit from the application of the Retirement and Social Security Law, and to speed up registration to guarantee their rights and secure their living situation, especially after the optional security came into effect.
    Al-Asadi said during a central celebration held by the ministry on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, that the event and Eid al-Ghadir are an occasion for unity and rapprochement among the Islamic nation, and we, as a ministry concerned with the poor, the disabled and those with special needs, must follow the example of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), in caring for all groups included in the care of the ministry that we have been assigned to manage, as this occasion is not a historical anniversary, but rather an affirmation of the values ​​of loyalty, guardianship and truth.
    He stressed that "in the hot summer weather, we must recommend to all workers the necessity of following occupational health and safety guidelines for their safety," directing the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety to intensify inspection tours of work sites to ensure the safety of workers, and not to neglect following methods of prevention, especially from sunstroke and stress. Thermal.
    In his speech, the Minister also announced services for people with special needs, including the launch of the Al-Ghadeer platform for people with disabilities and special needs, which offers a series of courses and development lessons for all ages, as well as sign language courses, strengthening lessons, and development programs for residential homes.
    Al-Asadi pointed out that “the electronic form for wounded soldiers was launched by the Ministries of Interior and Defense and the Popular Mobilization Authority to receive their requests, and to simplify the procedures for them to be included in the salary of a full-time appointee, which is one of the steps to simplify the procedures.”
    He announced “the launch of the disbursement of the second batch of beneficiary amounts (accumulated) for cases related to the death or change of the full-time appointee, after completing the electronic disbursement card for (3059) beneficiaries.”
