    Today, Monday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced the completion of the important budget joints, and while it clarified the mechanism for calculating the sovereign fund and the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget, it revealed that there is a remaining amount of emergency support that will be added to the budget.
    Committee member Mueen Al-Kazemi said in a televised statement, "The budget was supposed to be completed early before the legislative recess, but it was delayed, although its important joints were completed within the Ministry of Finance," noting that "the investment budget was completed in the Ministry of Planning."
    He added, "There is a review within the Council of Ministers to make amendments to the budget," noting, "The importance of taking into account the file of lecturers and the salaries of some other allocations in the budget."
    He continued, "There is real cooperation to complete the budget," pointing out that "there are no real obstacles within the political blocs regarding the budget."
    And that "the budget needs time and cannot be approved quickly," expecting "the approval of the budget early next March."
    Regarding the mechanism for calculating the investment budget, Al-Kazemi stated that "the investment budget, which includes the development of regions for the governorates, was prepared on the basis of the population ratio," explaining that "there is an amount of 9 trillion Iraqi dinars that will be added to the budget."
    And he indicated that "this amount is left over from the emergency support law, which was allocated to the governorates, but it has not been consumed."
    Regarding the sovereign fund, he explained that "the sovereign fund will include the surplus amounts, the difference in the selling price of a barrel of oil specified in the budget, which is sold for more than that," pointing out that "the price difference in this amount is deposited in a sovereign fund or a development account in a specific bank, which will be a guarantee for the future."
    Regarding the share of the Kurdistan region in the budget, Al-Kazemi stated that:
    And he stressed "the need for there to be transparency from the region regarding the amount of oil exported, on the basis of which the share of Kurdistan will be decided," explaining that "in the absence of transparency, the financing method will remain the same as the previous one, by calculating the monthly amounts."
