    Rashid said in a statement received by Al-Masalla: The sacrifices of the army and the rest of the armed forces, from the federal police, the fight against terrorism, the popular crowd and the Peshmerga, were the torches that illuminated the way and preserved national dignity and raised the heads of Iraqis high.
    On Friday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shayaa al-Sudani, pledged to strengthen the role of the armed forces in all its forms, on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army.
    Al-Sudani said in a statement on this occasion that his government will continue, within its program, to work to strengthen the role of our armed forces in all its forms, led by our heroic Iraqi army, and to work on the technological and field development of its combat weapons, and to raise the capabilities of movement, deployment, holding the land and repelling aggression.

    On Friday, the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, congratulated the 102nd Army Day.
    Al-Halbousi said, in a tweet to him on the “Twitter” platform: “A tribute to our valiant Iraqi army of all kinds, officers and ranks, on the anniversary of its founding, and a stand of honor and honor for its sacrificial martyrs and its heroic wounded.”
    The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, commented on Friday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army, while stressing the need to preserve his rights.
    Al-Sadr said in a tweet to him on the “Twitter” platform, that there is no voice above his voice, and his rights must be preserved as long as he is in the service of the country and the people.
    And the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, demanded the immediate exit of all foreign combat forces and the achievement of full national sovereignty, on the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army.
    Al-Amiri said in a statement received by Al-Masalla, that thanks to the pure blood and the exceptional efforts made by all the security services, reflecting their full eligibility and readiness to carry out their duties to maintain security and stability without the need for the presence of foreign combat forces on the land of Iraq, the reality has proven that there is no need for them, so we demand the exit of All foreign combat forces immediately and achieve full national sovereignty.
    The head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of providing justice to the wounded, rehabilitating them, and granting them their pension rights on the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army.
    Al-Hakim stressed, in a statement, the independence of the military institution and its role in preserving the political system, the Iraqi experience, and the interests of the Iraqi people.
    And the Iraqi Army Chief of Staff had decided at the end of last year to postpone the annual Army Day parade until further notice, as it coincided with the launch of the 25th Gulf Championship.
    The Iraqi army had a major role after 2003, especially after the terrorist ISIS gangs took control of a third of the area of ​​Iraq in 2014 with the fall of the governorates of Mosul and Anbar and parts of Salah al-Din and Diyala, as this did not deter the Iraqi army’s determination to fight the terrorist organization and restore the lands it controlled.
