    Baghdad today - Baghdad
A member of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, Representative Haitham Al-Fahd, said today, Sunday, that “there are no close solutions” to the crisis of the dollar's high exchange rate, indicating that the solutions implemented by the government are "prosthetic", as he described it.
Al-Fahd said in a statement to (Baghdad Today) that “there are large mafias that control the exchange rate and the sale of the dollar, and we demanded that there be transparency in the process of selling the currency, and four banks that control the sales process were closed.”
And he added: “The closure of banks, which led to a rise in the exchange rate, we were hoping to postpone it, because of the Gulf Championship 25 and the fiscal year and preparation for the budget, but the World Bank besieged Iraq, And it demanded that the government be transparent in the process of selling the currency, after the banks were closed, and this negatively affected the citizen. .
He continued, "Citizens should not bear the mistakes of governments and the Central Bank."
And he continued: "We apologize to the citizens for this failure," adding: "Our most important concern is the budget and the exchange rate. Perhaps the problem is greater from within, and the outside may be participating in the conspiracy against the people." .”
And he went on to say: "I do not expect a close solution to this problem. There are patchwork solutions, including giving the dollar to travelers, and as a result, the same merchants returned to buy it."
