    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Saturday, the Kurdish leader, Mahmoud Othman, revealed the position of the Kurdish forces to stay or withdraw from the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, after the recent Federal Court decision.
The Federal Court had issued, earlier, a decision stating that it is unconstitutional for the Council of Ministers to send funds to the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which aroused the resentment of the power parties in the region.
Othman said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "there is no intention of the Kurdish forces to withdraw from the Sudanese government because of the recent Federal Court decision, and this option is very unlikely for all Kurdish forces, and they do not seek it at all.”
He explained that "intensive dialogues will take place during the next few days between the government of Erbil and Baghdad in order to find legal solutions through which funds can continue to be sent from the federal government to the region to pay the salaries of employees."
In a related context, an informed political source revealed that the two main parties in the Kurdistan region will meet today, Saturday, to discuss a number of files after a break that lasted for months.
The source told (Baghdad Today) that "the two parties will discuss the implications of the Federal Court's decision to prevent sending money to the region, as well as the file of holding elections for the Kurdistan Parliament during this year."
