In the coming period, the Iraqi street is awaiting the first ministerial change in the government of Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, which will affect a number of ministers who, according to assessments, did not do well in providing services to citizens and did not have a clear imprint on their ministries.
Political circles believe that the expected change will not affect only ministers, but also special grades and undersecretaries, which are among the prime minister's conditions for the "State Administration Coalition" to restore street confidence in the entire political process, at a time when the "State of Law Coalition" parliamentary bloc stressed the importance of the prime minister's steps to work on evaluating the performance of The government, announcing its support for the expected changes.
Political analyst Haider al-Moussawi said in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "At the beginning of the formation of the government, Al-Sudani agreed with the political blocs forming the (State Administration Coalition) that if some ministers were not successful in their performance, he would demand their replacement, and at that time all political forces agreed." On this request, for the simple reason that al-Sudani wants to succeed in this government and save the political system, given that the government emanated from (the State Administration Coalition), which is the ruling coalition, and therefore the political class will be involved in the failures.
He added, "There was an agreement with the political parties on this issue, and all forces showed flexibility in this regard, given that everyone wants the success of the government in order to restore confidence in the political process," noting that "there is a replacement of a number of ministers, and the change is not only at the level of ministers." Rather, it is at the level of all the joints of the administrative apparatus in the Iraqi state, and here we are talking about (special grades, agents and general managers), especially since there are many complaints that reach Al-Sudani regarding the work of some of them.
He continued, "The change will not affect all ministers, but there are ministers who have proven their success, but there are some failures that may be in this or that ministry, so four to five ministers may be replaced as a maximum, and they will be replaced in agreement with the political forces with other personalities who may be from within." The ministry, but certainly in agreement with the leaders of the blocs,” noting that “there is great satisfaction in the street regarding the performance of the Sudanese and his government and with regard to completing infrastructure projects, roads, bridges, etc., as well as with regard to installing contractors and lecturers.”
In turn, the political analyst, Jassim Al-Gharabi, said in an interview with Al-Sabah that “Al-Sudani had conditions, as he put (the State Administration Coalition) at a crossroads when he told them that (ministers, agents and general managers are all subject to change after evaluation).” . He added, "The political blocs called themselves the government of the last chance, and the Sudanese government restored part of the spirit to the Iraqi street and restored the street's confidence in the state and its executive apparatus."
On the other hand, the representative of the State of Law Coalition, Jassem Al-Alawi, said in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "The prime minister, since assuming the position, has worked to set up monitoring committees over the performance of any government official from the rank of minister or below, and the evaluation from those committees is based on Several points, including (competence, integrity, performance and achievement)", explaining that "these committees are professional and do not represent specific political orientations and were built on the basis of evaluating the work of ministers."
He pointed out that "all political blocs support the prime minister's work through change and reform of the government institution," stressing that "all forces (the State Administration Coalition), including the State of Law Coalition, support the prime minister's steps." He explained that "the government's work is good through the evaluations of the supervisory authority and the House of Representatives during this short period, and we will notice in the long term the government's work that there are promising achievements at the level of the government program. One of the basics of the government program is reducing unemployment rates, and the government must reduce unemployment rates through large investment agreements." ".
